How Do Adult Cancer Patients Rate the Current Multidisciplinary Approach to their Chemotherapy Induced Taste Disorders?





A lack of effective therapeutic strategies and evidence-based guidelines complicates integrated food and nutritional approach of chemotherapy induced taste disturbances. Innovations in gastrology sciences increasingly focus on personalization of meals, both in hospitals and at home. We aimed to describe possible unmet needs in the current multidisciplinary approach to taste disorders in adult cancer patients and to determine the need to implement evidence-based gastrological innovations such as personalized meals. A multicenter cross-sectional study was conducted in adult cancer patients all suffering from chemotherapy-induced taste disturbances.
